These rules will change from August 1! Your pocket will be affected directly

These rules will change from August 1!

From 1 August 2025, many important changes related to everyday life are going to be implemented in the country, which can have a direct impact on your expenses, transactions and budget. Whether you pay through UPI all day, keep SBI credit card or wait for LPG cylinder every month, all these fronts are going to change the rules. It is necessary to be cautious about these changes coming from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), banking regulator RBI and oil companies.

New limit will come on UPI

From August 1, many new changes will be implemented in the rules of using UPI. Now if you do transactions throughout the day with apps like Paytm, PhonePe or Google Pay, then it is important to keep these limits in mind.

  • The balance can be checked only 50 times a day.
  • On one UPI app, a bank account connected to a mobile number can be seen only up to 25 times a day.
  • Autopay transactions will now be processed in three fixed time slots: before 10 am, between 1 to 5 pm and 9:30 pm.

According to NPCI, these changes are being made to make the system faster and more secure, so that unnecessary loads on the network do not increase.

Bad news for SBI credit card holders

If you are SBI’s co-branded credit card holder, then there is going to be a big change in your free insurance cover since August. SBI has decided to close the air accident insurance cover found on many Elite and Prime Cards.

Earlier these cards used to get insurance cover ranging from ₹ 50 lakh to ₹ 1 crore, but now this facility will be abolished. This change will be applicable to SBI-un-un-Central Bank, Karur Vaishya Bank and PSB partner cards.

Changes in LPG cylinder prices possible

Like every month, this time also on August 1, the prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders can change. In July, the commercial cylinder was ₹ 60 cheaper, but the prices of domestic LPG cylinders remained stable.

This time it is expected that domestic consumers can get some relief. If prices decrease, then it can be news of relief for the people struggling with inflation.

CNG and PNG prices are also monitored

Oil companies often amend the CNG and PNG prices on the first date of the month. However, there has been no change in it since April. In April, the price of CNG in Mumbai was reduced to ₹ 79.50 per kg and PNG ₹ 49 per unit. Now it has to be seen whether there is any change in August or not.

ATF price will be fixed by air fare

Air turbine fuel (ATF) is also likely to change the prices of aircraft fuel. If ATF is expensive, air fares can increase and passengers can get relief if they become cheaper. Oil companies also revise the price of ATF on the first date of every month.

RBI meeting also in August

There will be a meeting of RBI Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) between August 4 and August 6, in which important decisions can be taken regarding interest rates. RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra can announce changes in rates after the meeting, which can affect home loan, car loan and EMI.
