Samarth Uttar Pradesh-Developed Uttar Pradesh @2047 campaign has become a new example of public participation. So far, more than 32 lakh suggestions have been received, in which education, agriculture and rural development have been the major topics.

Lucknow. The ‘Samarth Uttar Pradesh-Developed Uttar Pradesh @2047 campaign’, started with the aim of making Uttar Pradesh a developed state, is continuously touching new heights. This campaign is based on the active participation of the general public, in which nodal officers and intelligentsia are communicating with students, teachers, farmers, businessmen, entrepreneurs, labor organizations, voluntary organizations, media representatives and common citizens in all 75 districts of the state. The purpose of these dialogues is to collect concrete suggestions and feedback for the development of the state.

So far, more than 32 lakh suggestions and responses have been received under this public participation campaign. This figure is proof that the government’s policy of “public development through public participation” is deeply connecting with the people.

Received tremendous support from rural and urban areas

Out of the suggestions received, more than 25 lakh opinions have come from rural areas, while about 7 lakh suggestions have been received from urban areas. Youth participation was highest in this – approximately 15 lakh suggestions were given by youth below 31 years of age. The same number of middle-aged citizens (31 to 60 years) have also given their opinion. Senior citizens have also registered their active presence, which shows the widespread acceptance of the campaign.

Education, agriculture and rural development became major subjects.

Among the suggestions received during the campaign, education, agriculture and rural development were the most discussed.

  • About 9 lakh suggestions were received from the education sector.
  • About 7.5 lakh suggestions came from the agriculture sector.
  • More than 6 lakh suggestions related to rural development were registered.

Apart from this, people have also shared a large number of suggestions in areas like health, social welfare, industry, livestock, dairy, IT and tourism.

Sambhal, Jaunpur and Sonbhadra were the most active districts.

Based on public suggestions, Sambhal, Jaunpur, Sonbhadra, Maharajganj, Bijnor and Gorakhpur districts were most active. Whereas relatively less suggestions have been received from districts like Firozabad, Mahoba, Etawah, Bulandshahr and Lalitpur.

Innovations and new ideas emerged in public suggestions

People from different districts of the state have presented many new and practical suggestions.

  • Tripathi Pandey of Ballia advised expansion of scientific techniques, organic farming and micro irrigation systems in agriculture.
  • Avnendra Singh Rathore of Hathras suggested setting up of state-of-the-art testing facilities and biomedical waste plants in the district hospitals.
  • Shobha Chauhan of Varanasi described livestock conservation, dairy development and fisheries as the backbone of the rural economy.

‘Vision Document’ will be made on the basis of suggestions

The objective of this campaign is not only to collect suggestions, but also to make the public an active participant in policy making. This campaign, running under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is an important step towards establishing Uttar Pradesh as a developed state by 2047.

The government will analyze all these suggestions and prepare a comprehensive vision document, which will guide the development of the state. Besides, those giving excellent suggestions at the state and district level will also be honoured.
