Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Mumbai Police Confirm No Minor Among Three Accused

Mumbai Police said on Monday that none of the three men arrested in connection with the firing at actor Tiger Shroff’s car is a minor.

One of the accused is 18 years old, while the other two are 22, DCP Raj Tilak Roshan said at a press conference.

“We have three accused now. Two are from Haryana, and one is from Bihar. No minor accused in this case. One is 18 years old, and the other two are 22 years old,” he said.

According to the police, two of the three accused fired five to six rounds at the actor’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening before fleeing the spot.

The motorcycle allegedly used in the attack was later found in Andheri. However, police have not recovered any weapons from the three accused so far, Roshan said.

The suspects were detained at Kota railway station in Rajasthan and are being brought to Mumbai for further investigation.

The firing took place around 7 pm on Sunday when three men arrived on a motorcycle and two of them allegedly opened fire at the actor’s car.

The Mumbai Crime Branch formed around 20 special teams to trace the suspects. Investigators examined CCTV footage, gathered information from the field and used technical analysis to track their movements from Andheri West railway station towards north Mumbai and then to Surat.

Police later learnt that the suspects had boarded the Pune Jaipur Express. After identifying the compartment they were travelling in, Mumbai Police alerted their counterparts in Kota, who detained the three men.

Roshan said police teams from Delhi, Gujarat and Rajasthan helped track down the suspects. The accused have been booked under sections relating to attempted murder and the Arms Act. Further action will be taken as the investigation progresses, and more arrests are possible.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the firing in a social media post following the incident. However, the claim has not been independently verified.

Tiger Shroff escaped without injuries, but his driver and another person sustained injuries in the incident.

Police are still trying to establish why the actor was targeted and whether others were involved in planning the attack. Roshan said there was no record of any earlier complaint about threats to Tiger Shroff.

“We don’t have anything on record that Tiger Shroff has received prior threat calls about this incident,” he said.

The DCP added that investigators were examining the possibility of a larger conspiracy. He said police were following standard operating procedures and previous court directions while handling the case.
