Ranbir Kapoor Showcases Singing Talent at Durga Puja Celebration in Mumbai

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently brought a musical touch to the Navratri celebrations at the North Bombay Public Pandal in Mumbai. During his visit, he met with filmmaker friend Ayan Mukerji and posed for photographs with photographers present at the venue. However, the highlight of the event was Ranbir’s unexpected singing performance. The “Rockstar” actor joined singer Harshdeep Kaur on stage to perform the popular song “Kabira” from his 2013 film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.”

A video that quickly went viral on social media showed Ranbir sharing the stage with Harshdeep, who was singing “Kabira.” He actively engaged the audience by encouraging them to join in while holding the microphone toward them.

Dressed in a red and gold kurta paired with white pajamas, Ranbir was seen arriving at the Durga Puja Pandal, where he offered prayers to Goddess Durga. He later greeted the cameras with folded hands, posing for pictures.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the North Bombay Public Durga Puja celebration, continuing the Mukerji family’s longstanding tradition of grand festivities.

Actress Kajol also attended the event with her children, Yug and Nysa Devgan. She wore a traditional yellow-orange saree and was spotted taking pictures of the idol of Goddess Durga.

Other notable attendees included actress Tanishaa Mukerji, veteran actress Jaya Bachchan, and director Anurag Basu, who participated in the rituals at the Pandal. Anurag was seen in a blue kurta, while Kajol took photos with Tanishaa and Ayan Mukerji.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film “Ramayana: Rise of a Legend.” The film will feature Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The first part is scheduled to release in theaters on November 5, coinciding with Diwali, while the second part is expected to hit theaters during Diwali 2027.
