New Delhi: Matt Henry kept his nerves cool bowling a superb final over to help New Zealand beat South Africa by 3 runs in the Zimbabwe T20I series final on Saturday. South Africa came very close to the win after a superb batting produced by the side but they lost the track in the final over which resulted in the heartbreak.
Requiring 7 runs off the last 6 balls with 6 wickets in hand, Henry picked two wickets giving away juts 3 runs in the final over. Chasing a mammoth total of 181 runs, the Proteas scored 177/6 in the stipulated 20 overs with Lhuan-dre Pretorius top-scoring with 51 runs. After a great start in the chase, where the openers stitched a partnership of 92 runs, the Proteas looked in control of the game but the Kiwis made a late bounce back to pocket the series in style.
