Aus W vs Pak W: Australia defeated Pakistan by 104 runs in the ninth match of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. The Pakistan team succumbed to Beth Mooney’s brilliant century in a difficult situation and the tremendous performance of the bowlers.
Australia Women vs Pakistan Women: Australia has registered the biggest win of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. In the ninth match of the tournament, the Kangaroos defeated Pakistan by 107 runs and registered their second win. When the match started, the Pakistan women’s team was completely dominant and it seemed that the match would be lost to them. But, Australian batsman Beth Mooney turned the match by batting alone. After that, when it was the turn of bowling, the Pakistani batsmen were not allowed to stay on the crease. The entire Pakistan team collapsed in 36.3 overs.
When Pakistani bowlers tightened their grip on Australia
After losing the toss and coming to bat first, Pakistan bowlers completely defeated the Australian women’s team. The batsmen were out with Australia on the score of just 76 runs. It seemed as if the entire team would collapse within 100 runs. Nasra Sandhu bowled brilliantly and broke the back of Australia’s batting order by trapping 3 big batsmen.
Beth Mooney made Australia’s comeback by scoring a century
Even though all the Australian batsmen were out from one end, Beth Mooney alone stood against the Pakistani bowlers. Mooney first added 38 runs for the eighth wicket with Kim Garth, then added 102 runs with Elana King for the ninth wicket. Mooney played an amazing inning of 109 runs in 114 balls, in which he hit 11 fours. At the same time, Elana King also scored 51 runs unbeaten on 49 balls. Due to which Australia scored 221 runs after losing 9 wickets in 50 overs.

Australian bowlers broke Pakistan’s back
After making a tremendous comeback in batting, Australia’s bowlers completely broke Pakistan’s back during bowling. Apart from Pakistani batsman Sidra Amin, no player was given a chance to settle on the crease. Amin scored the maximum 35 runs. Apart from him, all the top order batsmen returned to the pavilion with single digit scores. Captain Fatima Sana scored 11 runs. Due to which Pakistan’s entire batting was reduced to 114 in 36.3 overs.

All the bowlers from Australia have got success in bowling. Kim Garth was the most impressive, taking three wickets for 14 runs in 6 overs. Apart from them, Megan and Sutherland got 2-2 successes. Alana King, Ashley Gardner and Georgia Wareham also took 1 wicket each.
