About 40 elders have been rescued from an old age home in Noida. After a video surfaced, some officials conducted a surprise inspection of the old age home. Here he shook them what he saw.

Seeing all this, the members of the team who went to inspect were also heartbroken. The proper staff was also not present there to take care of the sick and helpless elders. All this case came to light when a video of the misery of the old age home went viral on social media. The video showed that an elderly woman was tied in the room. It also reached the Social Welfare Department of Lucknow.
After this, the State Women’s Commission and Noida Police, which came into action, raided the old age home on Thursday 26 June. During this time, he was stunned to see the condition of old age home on the occasion.

According to the NDTV report, when the officials reached the spot, they found that an elderly woman was tied with clothes and they were also locked in the room. He was looked after by a woman. When she was asked about tying her hand, she was enraged. She described the elderly woman as ‘crazy’ and said that she tears clothes, so she tied her hands. On showing strictness, the woman left the work and left.
According to Meenakshi Bharala, a member of the State Women’s Commission, some elders were locked in rooms like basement in old age homes. Many elderly people did not wear clothes and women were also in half-finished clothes. Some of the elders were found stained with urine and stool, which was very ‘shameful’ and heartbreaking. The condition in which the elderly were kept, reminds them of jails, but there were worse situations there. Referring to a woman living in old age home, Barala said,
This woman was a famous doctor of her time. He had treated many people. These people tied him up. When I asked him, he said that the woman is mentally unstable. She keeps tearing her clothes. I talked to the woman for half an hour but nothing happened. Yesterday they fed him intoxicating substance. The woman could neither speak nor open her eyes properly.

According to India Today reporter Bhupendra Chaudhary, there was no professional staff to take care of the elderly in the old age home. A woman who describes herself as a nurse told that she has just completed her 12th. According to the report, preliminary investigation revealed that the old age home had taken a donation of Rs 2.5 lakh from the families of the elderly. Apart from this, he also took 6 thousand rupees every month in lieu of living and eating of the elderly.
According to the report of Arun Tyagi associated with India Today, Social Welfare Department officer Nitya Dwivedi said,
Today we are rescuing three elders. Within a week, everyone else will be shifted to the government old age home. Notice has been issued to the trustee of the ashram. Now further investigation will be done.
According to the official, when they reached the ashram, they saw the kitchen and rooms. 2-3 elderly people were found tied in the rooms, which have been rescued.
Giving information on the case, Noida police said,
On the basis of the complaint of the State Women’s Commission, a surprise inspection of Anand Niketan Vikasram at Sector 55, C-5 was inspected. Many serious irregularities were found in it. The process of sealing the ashram has been started with the cooperation of the administration. All the elderly will now be transferred to a recognized government old age home.
Police said that the Women’s Commission and Administration are jointly taking further action in the case.
