After a 3 -year long conversation between India and Britain, the car finally got a free trade deal. After this deal, India’s agricultural sector is going to get a tremendous boom, but despite this, negotiations on another agreement between India and Britain are going on. If this agreement is reached then it will be very easy for Indian professionals to work in Britain. Today we are telling you about it in detail.
MRRA agreement will be made
India and Britain have agreed to form a mutual recognition agreement (MRA) to make it easier for professionals like nurses, accountants and architects to go to Britain. This is necessary because the recognition of merit is mandatory in some professional services.
The official said, “Both countries have agreed that they will work on mutual recognition of qualifications because some professions like nurses, architects, accountants and dentists require recognition of merit. Within the next 36 months we will try to agree on MRA with Britain.”
What is the meaning of mra?
In professional services, MRA means that the license or qualification found in one country is also recognized in another country. Under the Indo-Bitten Cast Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), Britain has allowed Indian professionals to move in several categories. Business visitors of all areas will be allowed to stay for 90 days in a period of six months. The employees transferred inside the company (including their partners and dependents) will be allowed to stay for three years. Graduate trainees have also been given a place in it.
Investors will be allowed to stay for one year. 33 Sub-sectors such as IT, ITES, Finance, Business Services, Hospitality and Transport Contract Services Providers will be able to work in Britain for 12 months in 24 months. Independent professionals of 16 sub-sectors such as IT, Business Consulting, Telecom and Finance will also be allowed to work in Britain.
Currently, so many Indians are doing jobs in UK
At present, around 60,000 Indian IT employees are working under intra-corporate transfer in Britain. The official said, “For this, Britain has promised that they will give a three -year visa not only to the employees but also to their partners and dependents … The most important thing is that Britain has agreed that no number limit will be imposed on these employees.”
Britain has also believed that no number limit or economic needs will be investigated on these categories. On the other hand, India has allowed Britain to enter the market in professional, financial (eg insurance), environment and other services. The official said, “Britain has expertise in these services and it will also bring investment in India… India has also ensured that its policy freedom in sensitive areas remains.”
India has a trade surplus of about $ 6.6 billion with Britain. Officials said that India has not made any promise to make the limit of opening more branches to British banks.
