Bangkok: The XIVth Biennial Conference of the World Malayalee Council (WMC) kicked off yesterday at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, with a grand cruise dinner that set the tone for a spectacular event.
The conference, which is being attended by a record-breaking 565 delegates from 70 provinces across six regions worldwide, promises to be a celebration of Malayalee culture, pride, and global spirit
The conference will feature important meetings of the Global Executive Council and Global General Council, as well as the election and oath-taking ceremony for new Global Office Bearers.
According to Global Secretary General Dinesh Nair, the conference is a significant milestone in the history of WMC, which is the largest global network of Malayalees with a presence in almost all countries.
“WMC has been a driving force in bringing together the global Malayalee community, promoting unity, culture, and welfare of Malayalees worldwide,” Thomas Mottackal, global president, said.
The conference is expected to showcase the rich culture and heritage of the Malayalee community, and provide a platform for delegates to share ideas and experiences, said Shaji Mathew, global treasurer.
With its rich cultural programs, intellectual discussions, and networking opportunities, the WMC Global Conference 2025 promises to be an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
