Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and CM Yogi Adityanath unveiled the statues of three great musicians of South India at Brihaspati Kund in Ayodhya. During this period, a confluence of North-South culture was seen and the campus was also beautified.
Ayodhya, the holy land of Lord Shri Ram, witnessed a unique cultural moment on Wednesday. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached Ayodhya on her two-day visit, where she was welcomed to the tune of traditional musical instruments. Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna and Agriculture Minister and Minister in-charge of the district Surya Pratap Shahi welcomed her with dignity at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport.
Historical unveiling will take place in Brihaspati Kund
This visit of Nirmala Sitharaman is for a special cultural event organized at the Brihaspati Kund complex located in Tedhi Bazaar, Ayodhya. In this program, she, along with the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath, will unveil the statues of three great saint musicians of South India – Saint Tyagaraja Swamigal, Purandar Das, and Arunachal Kavi.

These sculptures installed in the Brihaspati Kund complex symbolize the deep roots of Indian music, devotion and art. The installation of these statues in Ayodhya is a living example of North-South cultural unity, which has been given shape by the Yogi government.
