Our market performance, strategic status and growth are all in the right direction. He further wrote, we are investing more in capexes (capital expenses) than ever before. There is not much change in our total employee number and some of the best talent and experts in the industry are getting more recognition and reward than ever. Despite this, we have to be trimmed.

Nadella described this situation as the secret of success in an industry where there is nothing like permanent monopoly. He said, progress never moves in a straight line.
