Ibrahim Ali Khan has made his official debut with the Netflix original movie, Nadaaniyan, opposite Khushi Kapoor. The film was released in March this year and got mixed reviews from the audience, critics.
Now, Ibrahim Ali Khan’s second film Sarzameen has been released on JioHotstar, which also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol in the leads. Sukumaran recently revealed that Sarzameen is actually the first film that Ibrahim has filmed. But due to several reasons, the movie was postponed. Prithviraj also lauded the performance of Ibrahim and stated that he liked the young actor in the movie.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Prithviraj Sukumaran said, “This was his first film. This film got delayed due to multiple reasons. And, now ends up being the second release. But this was the first time he ever came in front of the camera on a film set.”
“And I was a witness, a part of his journey leading up to the shoot. I, as a matter of fact, know that he has put in a lot of work, a humongous amount of work for this film. I really like him in this film. And I say this very objectively, not because I am here to promote Sarzameen, but I really like Ibrahim in this film.”
Prithviraj Sukumaran recalled the advice that he gave to him and said, “The last day of shoot, I told him, ‘I’m very proud of you for the kind of work you have put in for this film. But I want to tell you that if you think it is going to be easier from here onwards, it’s not. It’s just going to be as tough as it always is.”
“At any point, if you think things are getting easier, you’re doing something wrong. So, the idea remains that you put in the same amount of work for every one of your films.’ And he understands that he might be from a very privileged background. But he understands how valuable this opportunity is.”
Sarzameen is about an Indian Army Officer who is ready to do anything to free Jammu and Kashmir from terrorism. In a mission, he found out that his missing son is involved in a terrorist group. His wife faces emotional turmoil as they confront a situation where personal relationships and responsibility for the country are at stake. The movie features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kajol, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Boman Irani, Mihir Ahuja, Raman Singh Rawat and Adrija Sinha in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Kayoze Irani and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Adar Poonawalla.
