Toyota Glanza Facelift: Engine And Transmission

The 2026 Toyota Glanza comes with a new 1.2 litre three cylinder Z12E engine which can be bought with both petrol and CNG versions. With the petrol version, the engine has a capacity of 83hp and 112 Nm of torque. The transmission options on offer include the five-speed manual and five-speed AMT transmission variants. When compared to the old four-cylinder petrol engine, the new engine provides 7 hp less power and 1 Nm of torque less. Toyota claims there is an increase in efficiency of fuel use. The petrol engine has an idle start/stop system which aims at reducing the fuel use especially during stop-start conditions.

The CNG version of the new engine has a capacity of 70 hp and 102 Nm of torque. The transmission options on offer are the same 5 speed manual and 5 speed AMT transmissions. Although the CNG variant gives 7 hp less power than the petrol variant, the torque is 4.5Nm less than the petrol version.
