A bus in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh was hit by a landslide. Due to this, 15 passengers died. Rescue operations are being carried out. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the accident.
Bilaspur landslide: In Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, 15 people died due to a fierce landslide on Tuesday. The deceased were boarding a private bus. Due to the landslide, this bus got buried in the rubble. Many passengers got stuck in the bus. Rescue operations are being carried out.
30 people were riding in a bus who was victims of accident
Bilaspur Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar has said that 15 people have died. 3 has been rescued alive. More than 30 people were aboard the bus. However, the correct number is not yet known. The accident took place near the Balli Bridge. A large amount of soil and rocks fell down from a hill. The private bus got hit in the debris after being hit by it.
JCB machine installed to remove debris
In a video of the scene, the JCB machine is seen removing debris. Many people were trying to save the trapped passengers. The broken part of the bus is visible in the video. The bus was running on the Marotan-Kalol route. After receiving information about the accident, teams of police, fire department and disaster management authority reached the spot. Debris is being removed.

Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the accident. He is monitoring the situation. The district administration is in constant contact. CM posted on X,
The rescue work continues on a war footing. Officers have been instructed to deploy their entire machinery. I am in touch with local administration. I am getting information from the entire rescue operation.
