Nushrratt Bharuccha is currently going through a tough phase. For the unversed, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress met with an accident in Bali during a work trip. According to multiple reports, Nushrratt fractured her spine after the incident and was brought to Mumbai via an air ambulance. Two days ago, on October 10, 2026, the actress shared the first update on her social media account. A while back, Nushrratt shared a new update from the hospital on her Instagram.
Nushrratt Bharuccha shares she is healing slowly
A while back, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress took to her Instagram Stories to share a new update about her health from the hospital bed. Along with a note, Nushrratt shared a video of herself from the hospital. For the uninitiated, she is currently recovering in a Mumbai hospital. In the clip, Nushrratt was lying on the bed, while nurses helped her to eat. She was watching the music video of the song, Gerua, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. She wrote:
“And just like that, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol bring a smile to my face. A reminder, things get better … little by little … they always do. Healing slowly, dreaming endlessly…”
On October 2, 2026, Nushrratt was brought back to Mumbai via an air ambulance. At the time, the actress was seen lying on a stretcher while her medical team carefully escorted her. As per reports, Nushrratt’s family members and close associates were also reportedly present to ensure her safe transfer. Before reaching Mumbai, Nushrratt was admitted to a hospital in Bali.
At the time, her team confirmed that Nushrratt had suffered a fracture in her spine and was admitted to a hospital in Bali under medical observation. Soon, it was revealed that she would need surgery for her injury. In a statement, the team wrote:
“Nusrratt Bharucha, who travelled to Bali for work and vacation, met with an unfortunate accident and fractured her spine. Nusrratt is currently hospitalised in Bali and is under the care of doctors. After further evaluation by doctors, Nusrratt will undergo spinal surgery. Our top priority right now is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care. We are currently arranging for Nusrratt to be airlifted from Bali to Mumbai, where she will undergo surgery.”

The actress completed her schooling at Lilavatibai Podar High School, Mumbai. Later, she pursued her graduation at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. She comes from a Bohra Muslim family, and girls in these families are bound to get married early.
In an old interview with Zoom, the actress shared that she tricked her parents for several years to avoid getting married. She mentioned that it was tough for her to avoid getting married early due to her culture. She revealed that the pressure to get married began soon after she did one to two films.
Nushrratt was last seen in the comedy film Ufff Yeh Siyapaa, co-starring Sohum Shah, Nora Fatehi and others. She will next be seen in a film co-starring Tiger Shroff. It will be Tiger and Nushrratt’s first on-screen collaboration. A source told Pinkvilla that the filmmaker wanted an actress who could bring both strength and emotions to the character.
