River Rolls Out 10,000th Indie from Factory in Just 22 Months

New Delhi: Electric scooter manufacturer River have rolled out their 10,000th Indie scooter from their factory, reaching the milestone in just 22 months following the rollout of the first Indie. Termed as the SUV of scooters, the Indie has a strong consumer base across India. Back in April 2025, the brand crossed INR 100 crore in revenue and 1000 units for monthly sales since launch. 

Aravind Mani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of River, reached the milestone and said, “Rolling out the 10,000th Indie today was a proud moment for us. This milestone reflects the demand that Indie has generated for itself. It gives us great confidence as we go forward. By March 2026, we aim to have over 100 stores and a new factory to accommodate a range of products from River.”

The first Indie had rolled out from River’s Hoskote, Karnataka setup on August 25th, 2023. The 1,20,000 square-foot plant features automated lines for vehicle assembly as well as for battery packs and has an annual capacity of producing 1,00,000 units. At present, River operate through 27 stores across 15 cities, which include Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, and many other cities.

The brand recently launched new outlets in Pune, Vijayawada and Trivandrum, with much more expansion across the country in action as well. By September of this year, River will have at least one outlet in all the prominent cities across the country, through a combination of both company-owned stores and dealerships.
