After the results came, both the coaching institutes accepted him as their student. Both the parties showed their respective records and claimed that Abhishek had studied there. Khan sir claimed that out of the 24 candidates selected, 18 were from his institute. Roshan Anand also expressed his claim on topper Abhishek Patel.

On March 28, Abhishek Patel came to meet Khan sir to attend the felicitation ceremony. After this the controversy increased further. Roshan Anand made his WhatsApp chat with Abhishek Patel public. In the chat, the student was seen discussing about the course and studies. Roshan Anand alleged that Khan sir tried to declare the topper a student of his institute by giving him Rs 10 lakh. However, Abhishek Patel completely rejected these allegations.
