Will Kylian Mbappe Play in Real Madrid vs Villarreal La Liga 2026-27 Match?

All eyes will be on French sensation Kylian Mbappé, who is reportedly working towards a return to action after sustaining an injury on international duty. Mbappé, who turned 27 last December, has been a prolific force for Los Blancos since his arrival in 2024.

However, the build-up to this match has been overshadowed by recent reports suggesting Mbappé’s potential unhappiness at Real Madrid, with speculation of a possible exit in summer 2027. His actions while recovering from injury, including being photographed cycling, have drawn criticism and prompted manager José Mourinho to reportedly ask for more discretion. Despite these rumblings, sources close to the club indicate that Mbappé retains the “unwavering support” of President Florentino Pérez. José Mourinho was appointed Real Madrid manager for the 2026/27 season, starting July 13, 2026. Florentino Pérez continues as the club’s president.
