Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa’ completed a decent opening weekend, with collections in the range of Rs 23.75 crore after three days. The mythological drama remained steady on Sunday, and collected Rs 7.25 crore.
While the film collected the same as Saturday, it saw a significant drop in collections from Friday. Interestingly, the film performed better than the other fresh releases last weekend, including ‘F1’ and ‘Maa’.

‘Kannappa’ from the audience and the critics. While it opened on a slightly stronger note, both Saturday and Sunday showed that the audiences’ interest was not the same.
The film boasts of a studded cast, including Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Brahmaji, Brahmanandam, Madhoo and Preity Mukundhan, among others. It is the story of a tribal leader, Kannappa, who becomes one of the greatest devotees of Lord Shiva.
‘Kannappa’ is on its way to in India. It will be interesting to see how it manages to perform on its first Monday, marking a crucial phase in its box office journey.
