BJP SpokespersonRachana Reddy has accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of making “unprovoked and mischievous” remarks regarding the prospective Vice President nominee.
She further mentioned that Revanth Reddy is trying to create rift among different castes to “prop” up its Muslim vote bank.”This is the same agenda followed by Revanth Reddy, who indulged in the now questionable 42 per cent reservation for OBCs while adding 10% illegal religion-based reservation,” Rachana Reddy said.
Asserting that Bandaru Dattatraya would be a “great” pick for the position of Vice President, Reddy said that it is not for the CM Revanth Reddy to comment on such matters.
“It is for the MPs of Lok Sabha as well as of Rajya Sabha to look into the nominees and vote for the prospective Vice President. It’s not Revanth Reddy’s job,” she added while pointing out that CM Reddy is aiming to create a rift between leaders of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that the next Vice President of India should be from Telangana, while pitching for Bandaru Dattatraya’s nomination for the post.”All OBCs in South, especially Telangana, were reduced in stature by the NDA. ‘100 khoon maaf karne ke liye’ It would be good if Bandaru Dattatraya is made the Vice President,” CM Reddy responded to ANI’s question at a press conference.
