Everyone accepted Krishna’s advice and started worshiping Annakoot. This enraged Lord Indra and started raining torrential rain, causing the entire Gokul to submerge. To protect the Gokul residents from Indra’s wrath, Lord Krishna lifted the entire Govardhan Parvat on his little finger and held it there. Recognizing the powers of Krishna, Lord Indra calmed down and realized his mistake. He apologized to Krishna and stopped the rain.
