Using too much intimate wash
During periods, some girls use too much intimate wash to maintain hygiene. Which is the biggest mistake. Because excessive use of intimate products can spoil the natural pH balance of the vagina. This also increases the risk of burning, itching and infection.
wearing the same pad or tampon overnight
Women often wear a pad or tampon while sleeping at night, due to which they spend about 8-10 hours on the same pad and tampon. But doing so increases the risk of infection. Because using the same pad for a long time even when the flow is low can promote bacteria growth, which can cause problems like rashes on the skin.

drinking less water during periods
This is a mistake that is rarely talked about. Many women drink less water due to fear of bloating, whereas not drinking enough water can increase dehydration in the body and can cause problems like headache, fatigue and constipation.
wearing wet or synthetic undergarments
There is more moisture during periods than before. In such a situation, wearing undergarments made of wet or completely synthetic fabric for a long time can increase the risk of bacterial and fungal infections. Therefore cotton underwear is considered a better option.
Not washing hands before and after changing pads
Many girls do not clean their hands before or after changing pads in a hurry. Due to this, the bacteria present on the hands can reach the genitals and increase the risk of infection.
