Jaipur SMS Hospital Fire Accident: 8 patients died and more than 20 patients were injured in a sudden fire in the ICU of the Trauma Center of Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur and more than 20 patients were injured.
Jaipur SMS Hospital Trauma Center ICU Fire: Rajasthan’s largest hospital Jaipur SMS (Sawai Man Singh) Hospital Troma Center took place on Sunday night. 8 patients died of painful death in ICU and more than 20 patients were scorched, many of whom are said to be very serious. The fire was so much so that patients were taken out with beds amid flames and smoke. Alam was that the patients were shouting badly on the road. Whoever saw the terrible scene trembled.

The accident occurred in Jaipur SMS (Sawai Man Singh) Hospital, highlights the gross negligence of the system. The fire was so huge that the ICU burnt all over
Actually, this fire started around 11 pm on Sunday night at Jaipur SMS Hospital. The fire was so huge that the fire engulfed the entire hospital on seeing it. All the items kept in the ICU room where the fire broke out. A patient died on the bed of ICU from suffocating. So the rest of the patients died as soon as they came out. The smoke was filled in the neuro ICU ward. There was no way to go inside.
ICU patients lay on the road
There was chaos in the ICU on the second floor, seeing the sudden flames. In a hurry, patients were taken out with beds amid flames and smoke. The family brought their patients on the road. Alam was that the patients lay on the road outside the SMS Hospital premises. People present on the occasion said that till date they have not seen such a terrible form of fire.

Eyewitness narrated the terrible scene of Jaipur SMS Hospital
An eyewitness of the accident said that when the accident at Jaipur SMS Hospital was seen at around 11 pm on Sunday night, smoke started coming out of the ICU ward. He said that smoke started coming out 20 minutes before the fire erupted. After some time, strong flames started getting up. When the hospital stop reached the spot, the smoke had filled the entire ward. There was no way to go inside. Somehow people reached inside and all the patients were taken out with beds. The young man said that in this accident my aunt’s son was 25 years old and the name was Pintu, he was completely cured with his illness. He was going to be discharged in a couple of days. But this fire put him to sleep forever and he died.
