A case of 35 girls being held hostage from Chhattisgarh to Jharkhand for job has come to light. Most of these girls are residents of Kanker district. It is being told that all of them had gone to Garhwa in Jharkhand to do nursing work.

The information about the girls being held hostage came to light when a girl living here made a video and sent it to her acquaintance.

Video went viral on social media

A girl living in Durgukondal area sent a video to a youth of her village asking for help. In the video, the girl was seen crying and saying that she was not feeling good here but she didn’t even have money to go home. Everyone has been taken hostage. When the video went viral on social media, Kanker district administration took cognizance.

What did the Kanker Collector say?

The Collector has talked about bringing them back. The Collector said that we are talking about this entire matter with the Garhwa district administration. The family members have also demanded to bring back the daughters. Kanker Collector Nilesh Kumar Kshirsagar said, “Some girls from Kanker and other places in Garhwa district of Jharkhand had gone to do nursing work. Information about training was received there. But there are complaints of girls being held hostage. The team is working to bring the girls back safely.
