Ayushmann Khurrana and Suhail Nayyar Bond Over Music and Memes While Shooting ‘Udta Teer’

Actor Suhail Nayyar has described his experience of working with Ayushmann Khurrana in the upcoming film Udta Teer as a memorable one, saying the two developed a close bond over their shared interests in music and memes.

During a conversation with IANS in Mumbai’s Andheri West area, where he was promoting Udta Teer and discussing his other projects, Suhail spoke about the camaraderie he developed with Ayushmann while working on the film.

The actor revealed that they regularly exchange music recommendations, sharing new tracks and introducing each other to sounds they believe the other might enjoy.

“Whatever new music we listen to, we share it amongst ourselves. Sometimes, I tell him, ‘Hey, a song is coming out. I think you will like it’. He shares music with me. Sometimes I send something to him. Sometimes he sends me a song that most people haven’t heard, saying, ‘There’s a different sound, you’ll like it’. He’s a great artiste,” Suhail told IANS.

He added that their conversations also frequently involve sharing memes, describing the relationship as one he genuinely values.

“We keep sharing memes. So it’s a very good relationship, I really cherish this relationship. I really admire him both as a human being and an actor, I feel blessed that I got a chance to screen share with him. I call him Paaji. We have a camaraderie. It happens when you naturally vibe with someone,” he said.

Udta Teer blends patriotism with comedy, with Suhail reportedly portraying a negative character in the film.

Earlier, Ayushmann had also spoken to IANS about the film, describing its storyline as different from conventional patriotic entertainers. He said the film would be released on October 9.

“My film ‘Udta Teer’ is releasing on October 9. It is a very different story. I want to say that it is India’s first patriotic comedy where I become a Pakistani spy and lose my memory in India,” Ayushmann said.

He further explained that his character begins fighting for India after losing his memory, creating an unusual situation in which he remembers patriotism but forgets which country he belongs to.

“My character in the film starts fighting for India. So in a way, he remembers patriotism, but he forgets which country it is. So it’s a very beautiful story,” he added.
