Television actor Karan Wahi recently shared an emotional message for his longtime friend and fellow actor Rithvikk Dhanjani, reflecting on their friendship and the many experiences they have shared since 2012. In an Instagram post, Wahi described their relationship as a mixture of affection, disagreements, arguments and an enduring bond that has continued through different stages of their careers.
Wahi said the friendship has survived plenty of differences over the years, while also acknowledging that those disagreements have often brought the two closer together.
Wahi recalls a friendship that began in 2012
Looking back at their journey, Wahi described Dhanjani as someone who has been a constant presence in his life since 2012. Using a reference to the mythical character Bheetaal and Vikram, he humorously compared their relationship to a companion who has remained with him through the years.
Wahi also reflected on the way male friendships are sometimes expressed differently. He wrote that men may openly share professional achievements with their friends while keeping their more vulnerable emotions to themselves.
The actor said he has spent years trying to understand what makes his friendship with Dhanjani work, joking that he can love, dislike and tolerate his friend almost simultaneously.
Travel, work and Khatron Ke Khiladi
The two actors have also travelled and worked together over the years. Wahi specifically mentioned Khatron Ke Khiladi as a project that strengthened their friendship.
The reality show, hosted by Rohit Shetty, places celebrity participants in physically demanding stunts designed around fear and challenges. Wahi’s reference to the programme suggests that the shared experience gave him and Dhanjani another opportunity to spend time together in a highly demanding environment.
Despite their different professional commitments, their friendship has continued outside the projects they have worked on together.
Arguments have become part of their bond
Wahi acknowledged that disagreements are a regular part of their relationship. Contrary to the impression that they rarely argue, he said the two probably fight and debate more than many people realise.
What he considers important, however, is what happens afterward. According to Wahi, they repeatedly find their way back to each other and emerge from disagreements with their friendship intact.
He ended the message with an affectionate reference to Dhanjani’s talent, calling him his brother and jokingly telling him to start preparing for their next show together.
