Kolkata: Both Sensex 30 and Nifty 50 opened in the green on Wednesday morning (July 23, 2025). At 9:15 am Sensex was trading at 82,389.55, up 202.73 or 0.25%, while Nifty 50 was at 25,124.95, up 64.05 or 0.26%. The cues were overall positive with GIFT Nifty and all Asian indices trading in the green this morning.
On July 22, the Indian markets closed almost flat. Sensex 30 went down 13.53 points or 0.016% to close at 82,186.81, while Nifty 50 declined 29.80 points (or 0.12%) to settle at 25,060.90 at the end of the day.
The global cues overall positive on Wednesday morning. While the US indices Dow Jones and S&P500 ended in the green, going up by 0.29% and 0.06% respectively, Nasdaq ended in the red by 0.39%. In Europe FTSE ended in the green while both CAC and DAX ended in the red on Tuesday, July 22.
The Asian markets were trading in the green on the morning of July 23. GIFT Nifty was trading in the green. So was Nikkei 225, Shanghai Composite, Hang Seng, Straits Times, Taiwan Weighted, KOSPI and Jakarta Composite.
