Nicole Kidman celebrates Lioness team, says she ‘loved working’ with Zoe Saldana

Hollywood star Nicole Kidman has shared a heartfelt note celebrating her Lioness co-stars and crew, saying she “loved working” with Zoe Saldana and her fellow “lionesses”.

Kidman took to Instagram and posted a series of pictures featuring herself with members of the Lioness team.

“Loved working with you @zoesaldana and all my lionesses. All episodes now streaming xx,” she wrote in the caption, tagging Saldana and other members of the team.

Lioness, also known as Special Ops: Lioness, is a spy thriller series created by Taylor Sheridan. The show follows the leader of a CIA programme that recruits female operatives, known as Lionesses, to undertake undercover missions as part of the agency’s efforts in the war on terror.

The series stars Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly and Laysla De Oliveira, among others.

Kidman began her acting career in Australia with films including Bush Christmas and BMX Bandits in 1983. She gained wider recognition with Dead Calm and the miniseries Bangkok Hilton before making her mark in Hollywood.

Her subsequent credits include Days of Thunder, Far and Away, To Die For, Batman Forever, Practical Magic and Eyes Wide Shut.

Kidman has received Academy Award nominations for Moulin Rouge!, Rabbit Hole, Lion and Being the Ricardos. She won the Oscar for Best Actress for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours.

Her other notable films include Cold Mountain, The Others, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Beguiled, Bombshell, The Northman, Babygirl, The Golden Compass, Australia, Paddington and Aquaman.

Kidman received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003 and became the first Australian actor to receive the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2024.
