Prior to Bihar elections 2025, the Congress has launched a ’20 days-20 question ‘campaign. It will have questions on 20 years of work from the NDA government, such as expensive electricity, voter list disturbances and land survey.
Patna: Prior to Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Congress has announced a ’20 days-20 questions’ campaign to surround the NDA government. On Saturday, Kanhaiya Kumar, in -charge of NSUI, presented the outline of this campaign at a press conference at Sadakat Ashram in Patna. He said that in the coming days, Congress leaders will seek the reply to the work done by the government in the last 20 years through public questions for 20 consecutive days.
Kanhaiya Kumar raised the Pirpainti power house project as an example on the occasion. He alleged that the project started during the UPA government, which was to be completed in collaboration with the Central and State Government, but was later handed over to the Adani Group, close to PM Modi. He raised the question that where the amount of budget fixed for this project disappeared and why it suffered loss directly to the citizens of Bihar.
Question on the price of electricity and farmers
Kanhaiya said that it is not in the interest of the people of Bihar to buy electricity at an expensive price by taking cheap land from farmers. He informed that in other states, Adani is supplying electricity at Rs 3 per unit, while in Bihar this rate is Rs 6 per unit. Due to this, the state has lost about Rs 56,000 crore. Kanhaiya directly called it a fraud with the public and said, “You donate me, I will give you business, this is the truth of today’s politics.”
Congress attack on voter list
The Congress has also raised serious questions on special voter revision (SIR) and the final voter list released by the Election Commission. State Congress President Rajesh Ram said that the number of removed names is more than the added names. He warned that the party will now closely analyze these lists and continue the struggle to protect the rights of the voters.
Rajesh Ram said that the SIR process has been unclear and incredible from the beginning. Its negligence increased so much that the court had to intervene. He alleged that the names of many qualified voters have been deliberately removed from the list, which is worrying for democracy.
Land and Survey: NDA targets government
Kanhaiya Kumar said that people’s land is being implicated in the ongoing government survey and land dispute in Bihar. He alleged that people in government offices are getting caught in the trap of bribery and the real intention of the government is to hand over the land of the public to their friends. He directly described it against the public interest.
