UK PM India Visit October 2025: British Prime Minister Kir Starmer is coming on India’s first official visit in October. His focus with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Vision 2035 Roadmap.

UK PM Keir Starmer India Visit 2025: Britain’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer is scheduled to come on his first official visit to India on 8 and 9 October 2025. The visit is being held at the invitation of Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, which has been announced by the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea). In this two-day visit, the two leaders will review the progress of India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which is part of a 10-year detailed plan under ‘Vision 2035’ Roadmap. The scheme includes important things such as trade and investment, technology and innovation, defense and security, climate and energy, health, education and pipel-to-pale relationship.

Meeting business-industry leaders in Mumbai

On 9 October, in Mumbai, PM Modi and Starmer will meet business and industry leaders. During this time, he will discuss new investment and trade prospects under the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). This agreement is considered an important pillar of the economic partnership between the two countries. Both Prime Minister will also share views on regional and global issues, which further strengthening strategic and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Global Fintech Fest will be included

Both Prime Minister Modi and Starmer will deliver the main speech at the 6th Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai and will communicate with policy makers, innovators and industry experts. This occasion will play an important role in promoting technology and innovation cooperation of India and UK.

New direction in India-UK relations

The visit of the British Prime Minister is taking place after PM Modi’s visit to UK in July 2025 and it is considered an opportunity to further strengthen India-UK relations.
