IndiGo Expands Delhi Hub with New Flights to Bali, Krabi, and Manchester

India’s largest airline, IndiGo, is scaling up its operations from Delhi in a big way. The carrier has announced three new international flights to Denpasar (Bali), Krabi, and Manchester, along with a series of new and enhanced domestic connections starting later this month.

IndiGo’s New International Routes from Delhi

From late October, IndiGo will introduce three new international flights from Indira Gandhi International Airport:

  • Delhi–Denpasar (Bali): Daily service begins October 24.
  • Delhi–Krabi: Four flights a week start October 26.
  • Delhi–Manchester: Four flights a week from November 15, marking IndiGo’s first direct service to the United Kingdom.

This Manchester route will also be the first operated by IndiGo’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, signalling a significant step into long-haul operations.

IndiGo will operate flights to Bali and Krabi using the familiar Airbus A320 family, while it will increase the Delhi–Bangkok service to twice daily from October 26 with A321 aircraft.

Ten New Daily Non-Stop Domestic Flights

The expansion isn’t limited to international routes. From October 26, IndiGo is introducing ten new daily non-stop domestic flights from Delhi. These include:

  • Rajkot
  • Vadodara
  • Patna
  • Goa (Manohar International Airport)
  • Shirdi
  • Nagpur
  • Nashik
  • Jabalpur
  • Raipur
  • Purnea (a brand-new destination in Bihar)

This domestic boost underscores IndiGo’s strategy of linking Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities directly with Delhi, making it easier for passengers to connect to international flights through one hub.

Strengthening Delhi as a Global Hub

With the latest additions, IndiGo will operate more than 1,700 weekly departures from Delhi, connecting the capital to 21 international and 74 domestic destinations.

Pieter Elbers, IndiGo’s CEO, called this expansion a key step in building globally competitive yet locally connected aviation hubs across India. “Developing such hubs will be a cornerstone of our growth strategy,” he said, adding that the airline is pushing toward its goal of becoming a global aviation leader by 2030.

Final Thoughts

For travellers, this means more direct routes, better connectivity, and easier access to some of Asia’s and Europe’s most popular destinations. For IndiGo, it’s a clear signal that the airline is ready to move beyond being a domestic powerhouse and take a serious shot at the global stage.
