JSW MG Motor India has delivered 50 Hector Tomahawk EVs to customers in Surat in a single day. The handover marks a local delivery milestone for the recently launched electric SUV, which is available with five- and seven-seat configurations.
Tomahawk Could Help JSW MG Reach A New Sales High
Between September 2025 and August 2026, MG sold 76,958 cars, compared with 70,344 units in the corresponding previous period, registering growth of 9.40%. Recent performance has been particularly encouraging, with June, July and August each exceeding 7,500 units and recording double-digit YoY growth. Hector Tomahawk EV and PHEV could help MG build on this momentum by attracting buyers seeking larger electrified family SUVs.
Tomahawk EV Prices And Range
New Hector Tomahawk EV starts at Rs 19,49,800 for the Excite 7S variant, ex-showroom Surat. The Exclusive 7S costs Rs 21,99,800, while the Essence is priced at Rs 22,99,800 with five seats and Rs 23,49,800 with seven seats.
For a limited number of bookings, introductory Battery-as-a-Service pricing starts at Rs 13.99 lakh, with battery rental of Rs 4.90 per kilometre payable separately. The EV uses a 69.2 kWh battery paired with a 150 kW electric motor producing 310 Nm. MG quotes a certified range of 517 km and support for DC fast charging at up to 90 kW.
PHEV Deliveries Start In Nov
The Hector Tomahawk PHEV combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission and a 20.5 kWh battery. MG claims over 115 km of pure-electric range and more than 1,100 km of combined range with a full tank and charge.
Available exclusively as a seven-seater, the PHEV starts at Rs 25,69,800 for Exclusive 7S, rising to Rs 27,79,800 for Essence 7S. Introductory BaaS pricing starts at Rs 21.79 lakh plus Rs 3.20 per kilometre in battery rental, for a limited number of bookings.
Features And Ownership Support
Depending on the variant, the Tomahawk offers a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch driver display, ventilated front seats, powered front-seat adjustment, a panoramic sunroof and a powered tailgate. Connected features include i-SMART 3.0 and a GenAI-powered voice assistant.
Six airbags are standard, while the equipment range includes a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. MG also offers a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner of both EV and PHEV versions, subject to applicable terms. Read our here.
