The stirring in JDU has intensified for Bihar assembly elections 2025. CM Nitish Kumar met more than 500 leaders for the ticket. He said that the ticket will be decided on the basis of merit, contribution to the organization and association with the public.
Patna: With the call of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, politics is starting to heat up. The round of churning on the ticket in Janata Dal (United) has intensified. On Friday, more than 500 leaders and activists met Chief Minister and National President of JDU Nitish Kumar. The meeting took place at the CM residence of 1 Anne Marg in the capital Patna, which lasted for about three hours.
Crowd of ticket claimants
In this meeting, there was the highest crowd of leaders who have submitted a ticket claim in the upcoming assembly elections. Most of the leaders arrived with the details of the political status, ethnic equation and organizational strength of their respective constituencies. The Chief Minister personally spoke to every contenders, inquired about the ground politics of his area. Many leaders handed over the bio -data and report card to Nitish Kumar. The Chief Minister assured him that the party would give priority to “merit, contribution to organization and public involvement” in ticket selection.
A meeting full of old face and new enthusiasts
Those who met were not only new faces, but also the current MLA, former MLA and old organizational officials. Many such leaders also arrived who had come to communicate with the Chief Minister about the problems of their area, road and electricity more than expected of tickets. Nitish Kumar assured him that the government is active on every front and public grievances are being resolved on priority.

Many senior JDU leaders and ministers were also present in this important meeting. National Executive President Sanjay Jha, Union Minister Lalan Singh, Minister Vijay Chaudhary, Bijendra Yadav and State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha also encouraged the workers. The party leadership told everyone that the strength of the organization is the first measure of the ticket.
Electoral season increased internal competition
The JDU headquarters and the 1st route are continuously from the contenders. The competition of the inner ticket is at its peak, challenging old leaders are new enthusiastic faces. In many districts, the names of 8-10 contenders are running for the same seat. This time the JDU is working on a strategy to decide the ticket based on the field report, organization report and public response.
