The schedule for the 2027 ICC ODI World Cup is set to be unveiled in Cape Town on October 1, according to a report by Cricbuzz. The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 1 and conclude on November 19, with South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia serving as co-hosts.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) are expected to reveal the complete schedule on Thursday, October 1. The ICC is also set to open the ticket ballot on the same day. Tickets will not immediately go on general sale, but fans will be able to register for the ballot process as preparations for the tournament continue.
The 2027 World Cup will feature 14 teams, with 10 places expected to be confirmed by September 30, the qualification cut-off date. Hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe have already secured their spots, while eight other teams are set to qualify directly based on their positions in the ICC ODI rankings. Namibia, the third co-host, will also be part of the tournament arrangements.
Based on the current qualification scenario, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are on course to secure places through the ODI rankings. Bangladesh, currently ninth, are expected to qualify because South Africa, ranked third, have already taken one of the automatic spots as a host nation. The remaining four positions will be decided through the qualifying tournament.
The final four teams will be listed in the World Cup schedule as Qualifier 1, Qualifier 2, Qualifier 3 and Qualifier 4 until the qualification tournament determines their identities. The qualifying competition is scheduled to take place early next year. West Indies are among the teams that will need to go through this route to secure a place in the 2027 tournament.
