Actor Ravi Kishan is set to headline an upcoming devotional drama presented by Mahaveer Jain Films, with the yet-untitled project exploring the unusual bond between a man and his faith.
The film marks Ravi Kishan’s second collaboration with Mahaveer Jain after the Kartik Aaryan-starrer ‘Naagzilla’. Unlike their previous project, the new film will revolve entirely around Kishan’s character and place him at the centre of the narrative.
Written and directed by Amit Aarryan, the film explores spirituality through the emotional journey of a man who considers God not merely an object of devotion but his closest friend, sharing an intimate and personal relationship with Him.
The makers plan to present the subject through an accessible and entertaining narrative rather than a conventional devotional format. The story combines spirituality with humour, emotion and drama to create a family entertainer.
The project comes as Mahaveer Jain Films expands its slate of concept-driven stories. The banner recently delivered the title track of ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’ and announced ‘RamBola’, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, who helmed ‘Hanuman Ansh’.
The film will be presented by Mahaveer Jain Films and produced by Mahaveer Jain Films, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Vinayak Kumar, Kavin Shah and Shikha K Ahluwalia, along with RatPack Stories’ Vijay Subramanium and Kshitij Mehta.
The film is expected to go on floors in January. The makers are currently finalising the title, with an official announcement expected thereafter.
Kishan has recently been seen in projects including ‘Mirzapur The Movie’, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ and ‘Maamla Legal Hai’. He has appeared in more than 200 films across Bhojpuri, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada cinema.
He rose to prominence with his appearance in the 2003 blockbuster ‘Tere Naam’ before establishing himself as a leading actor in Bhojpuri cinema.
