Actress and content creator Kusha Kapila has praised veteran actress Sheeba Chaddha, describing the experience of working with her on the upcoming Instagram series ‘Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe’ as a “masterclass”.
Ahead of the series premiere, Kusha said the project has been a meaningful journey as she explores storytelling in a new format on Instagram. She also credited Chaddha’s experience and ability to bring emotional depth to the project.
“Working on Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe has been a meaningful journey and an important milestone as I explore this storytelling format on Instagram. Collaborating with an actor of Sheeba ji’s calibre is a masterclass in itself; sharing screen space with someone with her expanse of experience and watching her bring authenticity and emotional depth to every single frame has elevated this project,” Kusha said.
She added that the series explores how two women, caught up in their own emotional struggles, find support and strength in an unexpected connection.
“This series is close to our hearts because it explores how two women, caught in the middle of their own chaos, can become anchors for each other. It’s a story about finding your way back to yourself through the most unexpected connections,” she said.
‘Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe’ marks the first Instagram project from Kusha’s brand Underneat and is produced by Tulsea and Versis Entertainment. The 14-episode series explores themes of human connection, healing and self-discovery.
A Tulsea Original, the series has been created and written by Namrata Wadhwani and directed by Raashi Priya Nahata. Tulsea and Versis Entertainment have produced the project, with Moonwalk Motion Pictures serving as executive producer.
The story revolves around an unusual pen-pal relationship between two women navigating emotional challenges. It begins when one woman sends a letter to an old friend, but the letter accidentally reaches the tenant currently living at the address.
Before ‘Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe’, Kusha worked on the YouTube short film ‘Vyarth’, which explored typecasting in the entertainment industry through the story of an underrated actress named Bhumi. The project gave her an opportunity to explore character-driven and emotional storytelling, which she now brings to her new Instagram series.
