While writing a new chapter of women empowerment in Chhattisgarh, “Bihan’s Didian” is taking a big step towards self -sufficiency. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said in a training program organized at Shaheed Smarak Bhawan in the capital Raipur that thousands of women are economically strong and formulated a new identity with the resolve to create a millionaire Didi. Through digital training, the products of Chhattisgarh will now reach the global market, which will make women of the state a torch of self -sufficiency.
Honor of women power and new beginning of journey in Navratri
Describing Navratri festival as a symbol of women’s honor, the Chief Minister said that the hard work and innovation of women has brought the initiative of Chhattisgarh to new heights. He reminded that by the year 2027, a target has been set to make 3 crore women self -sufficient, which will include 8 lakh women from Chhattisgarh. Brands like Mahua based product ‘Jashpore’ have also made a national identity, which has become a major economic support for local women.

The inspiring stories of the fortresses
The women involved in the program shared the inspiring stories to become their successful self -reliant. Poonam Gupta of Balrampur opened a big business by opening a grocery shop and flour mill, while Hemin Sahu of Gariaband brought his pickle to the Delhi fair. Geeta Verma of Raipur showed his family’s support with an income of Rs 15-20 thousand monthly from the turmeric-spicy business. All the women described the Prime Minister’s resolve as the boon of their life.
Chief Minister’s inspection of stalls of Bihan Didis
The Chief Minister visited the stalls set up at the site and expressed happiness over the role of products. If Ghee made of A2 milk of Sahiwal cow was purchased from the group of Dongargaon, while Jalagram women are becoming financially empowered by making phenyl, candle and glycerin soap.
Identification will increase at national and international level
With the initiative of Panchayat and Rural Development Department and Policy Watch, women are being trained in branding, casting and packaging to bring their products to the national and global market. The government will continue to support the revival and empowerment of women self-help groups and will make women dreams a reality.
