World para athletics championships 2025 in jln stadium: There is a terror of stray dogs in Delhi and NCR. The Supreme Court had issued strict instructions in this case. Despite this, their terror was seen on Friday 3 October when these dogs attacked two coaches and injured them. This caused chaos in the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) stadium in Delhi. Both the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

During this period, an incident took place on Friday 3 October, which caused a lot of gritty to the organizers. Stray dogs entered inside the JLN stadium and attacked the coaches of Japan and Kenya and injured them. During this time these dogs also made a security guard their victim. Stray dogs cut off these three people of 30 minutes and created panic.
How did this incident happen?
An African team official said that Kenya coach Dennis Marajia was talking to one of his players outside the competition campus at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Meanwhile, suddenly a dog bitten him. The organizers said that Japan coach Meico Okumatsu was also bitten by a stray dog. The incident took place at around 9.18 in the morning, when she was watching the training of her players on the practice track.
Joel Atuti, who came here with the team as a representative of the Kenya government, said that coach was talking to one of his players near the Dennis call room that suddenly a stray dog came and bitten them. This incident took place around 9.42 am. There was blood coming out of Dennis’s leg. He was rushed to the hospital where he was treated and injected. Now they are out of danger. During this time a security guard was also bitten by a dog.
What did the organizers say?
Call room is the place where players gather before competition. Jln stadium I have two call rooms. In this case, the organizing committee of WPAC said that both the coaches were given medical assistance immediately and they were taken to Safdarjung Hospital. After this he went to his team hotel. He told that now we are reviewing all the security arrangements again.
The committee said that on 21 August 2025, a letter was requested to remove the dogs by writing a letter and the campus was also evacuated before the championship started. Despite this, dogs enter the stadium in the greed of eating. According to TOI reports, now the stadium and the surrounding areas have been re -confined and security has been increased. The organizers said that after these incidents, the MCD has increased its deployment and two dog catching teams in the stadium campus have been permanently deployed.
