Sketches, reels, endorsements — content creator-turned-actor has explored almost everything on social media. What was missing so far was a microdrama.
The actor is ticking that box too with her latest project, Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe. The 14-episode microdrama, which will drop on Kapila’s Instagram page on September 30, sees her join Sheeba Chadha to tell the story of an accidental pen-pal relationship that forms between two women navigating emotional turbulence.
While Kapila features as Anisha, a young woman from Mumbai grappling with the aftermath of a broken relationship, Charu is a widow from Lucknow wrestling with her own grief and life transitions. Speaking about her experience of working with the senior actor, Kapila said, “Collaborating with an actor of Sheebaji’s calibre is a masterclass in itself. Sharing screen space with someone with her expanse of experience, and watching her bring authenticity and emotional depth to every single frame has elevated this project.”
The series has been created and written by Namrata Wadhwani, and directed by Raashi Priya Nahata.
