Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to set up weekly Chaupal in every development block of UP. There will be quick resolution of revenue, police and public complaints. Strict security instructions have also been given to the administration regarding Bakrid and Ganga Dussehra.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to organize weekly Chaupal at every development block level for quick resolution of public problems in the state. In these Chaupals, matters related to common people including revenue disputes, domestic violence, illegal recovery and police complaints not registered at the local level will be resolved on the spot. Besides, the process of providing benefits of government schemes to the eligible people will also be completed through these Chaupals.
In the law-order and administrative review meeting held through video conferencing on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that the government’s priority is to provide timely, transparent and satisfactory solutions to the public. He said that detailed SOP will be issued from the government level for the operation of Chaupals and quality disposal of every complaint will be ensured. He also clarified that the presence of district level officers will be mandatory in these chaupals.
Strictness on IGRS and CM helpline complaints
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to take the complaints received on IGRS and CM Helpline seriously. He said that mere formal action is not enough but the victim should get real relief. Negligence in redressal of complaints will not be accepted at any level.
Administration alert regarding Bakrid and Ganga Dussehra
In the meeting, the Chief Minister gave instructions to take special vigilance regarding the upcoming Ganga Dussehra and Bakrid festival. He said that sacrifice of animals will not be allowed in public places on Bakrid and sacrifice of banned animals will be completely banned. Sacrifice can be performed only at designated places and no new tradition will be promoted.
The Chief Minister also said that Namaz should be offered only at traditional places. Namaz will not be allowed under any circumstances by blocking the road. He directed to ensure better arrangements for cleanliness and waste disposal after sacrifice in the districts. Also ordered to take strict action against open meat sale and illegal slaughter houses.
Instructions to increase flag march and security in sensitive districts
The Chief Minister said that special attention should be paid to electricity, cleanliness and security arrangements during festivals. Flag march should be conducted in sensitive areas in advance and constant police patrolling should be ensured around religious places. While communicating with the officials of sensitive districts like Aligarh, Bijnor, Saharanpur, Rampur and Sambhal, he said that after studying the incidents of previous years, a list of possible miscreants should be prepared and necessary action should be taken. Also instructed to organize regular meetings with peace committees in all the districts.
Special arrangements for the convenience of devotees on Ganga Dussehra
Reviewing the preparations for Ganga Dussehra, the Chief Minister directed to ensure cleanliness, barricading, parking, ambulance and shade arrangements of Ganga ghats in many districts including Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar and Amroha. He said that in view of the scorching heat, the safety and convenience of the devotees should be the top priority.
Instructions to take action against illegal mining and vehicles without number plates
In the meeting, the Chief Minister also took a strict stand on the issues of road safety and illegal mining. He directed to launch a campaign against vehicles without number plates and take strict action by forming a task force to stop illegal mining. He said that action should be taken under zero tolerance policy, but common citizens should not be harassed in the name of investigation.
Strict action against land mafia, instructions for immediate appointment on vacant posts
While giving instructions to intensify the campaign against land mafia, the Chief Minister said that the legitimate rights of any person should not be affected. He also said that in the districts where the post of Chief Medical Officer is vacant, appointment should be ensured soon. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary informed about the identification of 12 lakh manuscripts in the state so far under ‘Gyan Bharatam Mission’. The Director General of Police informed the Chief Minister about the security preparations for the upcoming festivals and examinations.
