Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor wished her son and Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor on his 44th birthday, sharing a heartfelt message for the actor whom she affectionately calls “Rana”.
Neetu shared a selfie with Ranbir on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Happy happy to you Rana you are mine and I feel blessed.”
Ranbir, the son of late actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, turned 44 on Monday. He is married to actress Alia Bhatt, and the couple have a daughter, Raha.
Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor married in 1980 after appearing together in several successful films during the 1970s, including Amar Akbar Anthony and Khel Khel Mein. The couple also have a daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020, following treatment for leukemia.
Ranbir is currently preparing for the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The filmmaker unveiled Ranbir’s first look from the film on September 24.
Described as an epic romantic drama set against the backdrop of war, Love & War is scheduled for worldwide release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Details of the storyline and characters have largely been kept under wraps, although reports suggest Ranbir and Vicky play Air Force officers whose lives become connected with Alia’s character.
Meanwhile, Neetu was most recently seen in Daadi Ki Shaadi, a family comedy-drama written and directed by Ashish R Mohan. The film also stars Kapil Sharma, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Sadia Khateeb and R. Sarathkumar.
