Tilabhandeshwar mahadev

Mahadev, the god of the Gods, is settled in the mind of every Shiva devotee with his pastimes and boons. If he is a Rudra, then Bhole is also a Bhandari and is always going to have a vision on his devotees. The second Monday of Sawan Krishna Paksha was celebrated across the country amidst special auspicious coincidences. Lord Bholenath is being consecrated by Narmada and Ganga water in the holy month of Sawan. At the same time, a huge crowd of devotees is gathering in the 500 -year -old Shri Tilabhandeshwar Mahadev Temple located in Khandwa city of Madhya Pradesh. The reason for this is the self -proclaimed Shivling sitting here.

According to religious beliefs, the Shivling seated in this temple is also very miraculous, whose water remains 24 hours in Jaladhari. Also, this Shivling increases in the shape of sesame on Makar Sankranti every year. Therefore, it is named Tilabhandeshwar Mahadev. Let’s know some more things related to this temple.

What is the history of Tilabhandeshwar Temple?

Tilbhandeshwar Mahadev Temple has a self -proclaimed Shivling, which grows equal to a mole every year. It is said about this temple that here Rishi Bhandava did penance to Lord Shiva and offered sesame to Shivling. Since then it increases in the size of sesame every year. In the month of Sawan, special worship is done in this temple and devotees come here in large numbers to visit. It is said that this temple exists from the golden age. Statues of Lakshmi-Narayan, Maa Durga and Bajrang Bali are also installed in this temple.

Laliteshwar Bhatt and Bhavneshwar Bhatt, the chief priests of the Tilabhandeshwar temple, told that Shri Tilabhandeshwar Mahadev Temple is located in the middle of the city. The antiquity of the temple can be gauged from this that since this city was not even in existence, this self -proclaimed Shivling is a Shivling, whose water remains 24 hours of water in Jaladhari. No matter how severe heat, this water never dries up. 12 months and 24 hours Jaladhari is always submerged.

The priest told that this is our 11th generation going on serving Mahadev. Our ancestors say that when Mahadev appeared here as a Shivling, he was in a very small form. Since then, every year on the day of Makar Sankranti, Bhole Baba continues to grow in the shape of sesame. This is a miracle of Lord Shiva, which gives darshan to his devotees. Karunashankar Bhatt, Aditya Vyas and Adarsh Bhasht of the temple committee said that the temple is made of black stone and the shape of Shriyantra remains on its summit.
