Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Chitrakoot will become the center of religious and medical tourism after the construction of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. Health Wellness Center, Parikrama Path, beautification of ghats and schemes worth 64.77 crores are in progress.
Bhopal : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that after the construction of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, the attention of tourists has now focused on Chitrakoot. In such a situation, concrete steps are being taken to develop religious tourism as well as medical tourism in Chitrakoot.
He directed that a high level of health wellness center should be built in Chitrakoot, so that tourists visiting here can get general and modern medical facilities. This step will not only identify Chitrakoot as a religious place but also as a medical tourism spot.
Emphasis on construction of Shri Ram Path Gaman and Parikrama Path
The Chief Minister said that the department should work with mutual coordination in the construction works of Shri Ram Path Gaman Marg and use the amount according to the time -bound scheme. He specially instructed that Kamadgiri Parikrama Path should be prepared before Shriram Path Gaman. This will promote Chitrakoot among tourists. The Chief Minister said that tourists visiting the ghats of Chitrakoot should have spiritual experience and all efforts for this should be in the same direction.
Review and development plans in the meeting
In a review meeting held at Samtvat Bhawan at Chief Minister’s residence on Friday, the Chief Minister reviewed the action plan of Shri Ram Path Gaman and the progress of Shri Ramaraja Public Works in Orchha. He said that religious and social institutions should also be added to the development of Chitrakoot. CSR funds of big companies should also be served service activities here.
Mob management and city council development
The Chief Minister said that a huge crowd of devotees gather on occasions like Somvati Amavasya. Therefore, micro planning of crowd management should be done. He instructed the officials that all the work related to urban development in Chitrakoot Municipal Council area should be completed on priority. The beautification of Chitrakoot city should be such that it looks even more beautiful and systematic.
64.77 crore schemes released in Chitrakoot
Additional Chief Secretary Culture and Tourism informed that 27.21 crore under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme in Chitrakoot, 36.84 crore on Kamadgiri Parikrama Path Development and 72 lakh rupees on memorial and Yagya Devi development works. In this way, a total of Rs 64.77 crore projects are currently running in Chitrakoot.
Development work of more than 239 crore in Orchha
Similarly, more than Rs 239.87 crore works are in progress on a total of 7 projects including Shri Ramaraja Public Works (Phase 1 and 2) in Orchha. In addition, Shri Ram Path Gaman Nyas has been formed for the overall development of Shri Ram Path Gaman region, including 33 members. These include 28 ex -officio and 5 non -government trustees. These non -government members will be among the researchers associated with the lifetime of Shri Ram. Also, 5 experts will also be appointed.
Ghats renovation and land acquisition
The culture department said that the ghats will be expanded, renovated and beautified in Chitrakoot. For this, the surrounding private land will also be acquired. The Urban Administration and Housing Department has prepared a proposal for the overall development of Chitrakoot and the work will start soon.
Development work in Amarkantak and Panna
In Majhgawan, the process of transfer of land from the forest department is going on, while the work of identifying private and government land in Amarkantak will be completed. Work of Rs 50 crore has been completed under the Prasad scheme of the Government of India in Amarkantak. They are being operated through the local bodies and the Trust Committee.
Major projects in Chitrakoot and other districts
- In the last 10 years, development works worth 25.46 crore were completed in Chitrakoot Municipal Council.
- Currently 80.33 crore works are going on and new 34.21 crore is proposed.
- Work on Rs 36.84 crore is going on on Kamadgiri Parikrama Marg.
- Cantillar Glass Bridge construction is in progress at a cost of Rs 7.96 crore in Jupiter Kund (Panna).
- Development works worth Rs 92.78 lakh have been completed in Sarbhang Ashram, Satna.
- The works worth 3.95 crores have been completed in August Muni Ashram, Panna.
Development and connectivity of roads
The Public Works Department is doing road construction and upgradation work for Shri Ram Path Gaman area. Currently there is a proposal of Rs 117.79 crore for 34.30 km of roads. Of these, the tender has been issued for 7.5 km of roads and approval for construction of 14 km road is also in process.
