Vice Chancellor of Shutas University, Prayagraj, Prof. RB Lal has been arrested by the police. A case of attempt to murder was registered against the VC. An arrest has been made regarding that. Police have arrested him from Naini area of the district. The police have taken him to the Community Health Center located at Chaka Block for medical treatment.
Pro. Police presented RB Lal in the court of ACJM 7 Falak Ganguly. The court has accepted the remand application filed by the police. The Vice Chancellor has been sent to Central Jail Naini in judicial custody till January 12. The professor was arrested when he had called the striking teachers to the Registrar’s office for talks. The police already present here arrested him.
Vice Chancellor Prof. RB Lal accused of firing to kill
Vice Chancellor of Shutes University, Prof. RB Lal has been accused of firing to kill. His arrest has been made on the FIR of former BJP leader Diwakar Nath Tripathi. Diwakar Nath Tripathi had filed a case in Naini police station on Sunday that he had come to Arail Dam Road for a walk at around 6.30 am on Sunday morning. During this time his friend Sarvendra Vikram Singh was also with him. While returning, Vice Chancellor RB Lal came in a Fortuner car with his two companions and firing was done on them with the intention of attempting to murder. In which he and his companion Sarvendra narrowly escaped.
University teachers on strike for not receiving salary for 11 months
Here a situation of lockdown has arisen in the university. University teachers have been on the streets for 11 months due to non-payment of salaries. Teachers are continuously agitating and protesting. This arrest took place when the VC had called a delegation of teachers to the guest house of the university for talks. While the Vice Chancellor was still talking to the delegation, the police arrived and arrested the VC.
Immediately after the arrest, the police took VC RB Lal to the Community Health Center located in Chaka Block for medical checkup. Here, after getting the FIR register signed by RB Lal, the police took him to the court to present him before the remand magistrate.
