Bse cctv mandatary rules:
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made an important change in its Affiliation by-Laz 2018. Under this change, now all schools affiliated to CBSE will have to install high resolution CCTV cameras in the school premises, including audio-visual recording facilities.

The purpose of this change made by CBSE is to prioritize the safety of children and mental-social good. Know what schools need to take care of in the new rule made keeping in mind the safety of children.

CCTV will be installed in every corner of the school except the washroom

CBSE has directed that CCTV cameras must be installed in school entry and exit points, corridors, stairs, all classrooms, labs, library, canteens, store rooms, playgrounds and other common areas. Only toilets and washrooms are excluded from it. These cameras should have real time recording facilities and will also have to have a storage device storing at least 15 days footage. The school administration will also have to ensure that at least 15 days backup of this recording is kept so that the concerned officials can see it if needed.

CBSE’s purpose is mental and emotional security of children

CBSE has made it clear that schools will have to take full care of not only physical, but also emotional and mental security. Many times parents or teachers do not understand the emotional problems of children on time and it has a profound effect on the confidence and mental health of the child. Bullying is a similar problem that causes stress, fear and lack of confidence in children. CBSE has warned that schools will have to take concrete steps to remove all such threats.

Everyone’s responsibility for security in school

CBSE has also said in the notice that the security in the school is not only with the principal or teachers, but everyone’s participation in it is necessary. Whether they are teachers, special assistants, visitors, people on contract or children themselves. The board has included ‘safety’ not only by physical safety, but also protecting from anti -social elements, emotional health and all kinds of threats such as fire, natural disasters, transport protection etc.

This decision of CBSE is an important step towards children’s safety and complete good. Now schools not only have to ensure protection from external threats, but they also have to understand the emotional challenges going on within children.
