Prior to Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, JDU has started the process of ticket distribution. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is holding meetings with potential candidates. They are evaluating the merit, regional equation and public opinion of the candidates.
Patna: The political mercury has climbed before the bugle of Bihar assembly elections 2025. With the conclusion of Navratri, JDU has intensified churning over ticket distribution. The Chief Minister and the party’s national president Nitish Kumar has started the process of marathon meeting with potential candidates. In these meetings convened at the Chief Minister’s residence, the report cards, political stature and regional equation of the candidates are being discussed closely.
Candidates call from phone call
According to party sources, in the first meeting, potential candidates from across the state were invited through phone calls. In the meeting, everyone was asked to come with his personal and political biodata. Nitish Kumar met every candidate one by one and took a direct feedback about the political status of his area, the functioning of the MLA or minister and the pulse of the public.
Leaders are also presenting claims
Many leaders who came out of the meeting admitted that CM Nitish wanted to know from him directly to know what public opinion is in his area. JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan said, “Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is taking feedback from activists and leaders. Many people also said that from which seat they want to contest. It is clear that this time the NDA government is set to be formed in Bihar.”
Focus on merit and regional balance
The list of seat -wise potential candidates had already been prepared by JDU. Now Nitish Kumar is personally evaluating all names. According to senior party leaders, priority will be given in ticket distribution to the eligibility of candidates, public association with public and regional balance. It is believed that the list of candidates will be finalized after this meeting.
Nitish’s formula for election battle
Nitish Kumar does not want to take any risk in ticket distribution this time. Prior to the assembly elections, he has made it clear that the party candidates will be the one who has public trust and support of the organization. On the other hand, in NDA, there is also talks inside the seats between JDU and BJP.
Announcement any day possible
Election stirring in Bihar is continuously increasing. It is believed that the Election Commission can announce the dates of assembly elections on any day. Before that, JDU wants to prepare a list of its candidates.
