Singer Zubeen Garg died in an accident on September 19 while diving scuba. Police are still investigating the case. In this case, the police have recently arrested their bandmate and co-star. So far 4 people have been arrested in the case.
The death of Most Popular Singer Zubeen Garg is being investigated by the Assam Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT). The police is investigating every aspect of his death. Meanwhile, Zubeen’s bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Co-star Amritprabha Mahant have also been arrested in the case. Sources told NDTV on Thursday that the total number of people arrested in the case has now increased to four. It is being told that both Goswami and Mahant were with Garg at the Yacht Party during the North East India Festival on 19 September.
Inquiry in Zubeen Garg Death case
A source associated with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Assam Police said that in a video recovered, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami was seen floating near Garg, while Amritprabha Mahant is seen recording the entire incident in his mobile. Please tell that both have been questioned. At the same time, Zubeen’s manager Siddharth Sharma and North East India Festival manager Shyamakunu Mahant were arrested on Wednesday and they will also be questioned by the police. On Thursday, Sharma and Shyamakunu were accused of murder, culpable murder, criminal conspiracy and negligence in connection with Zubeen’s death. Munna Gupta, Special Director General of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Assam, who is leading the SIT, said- “Investigation is going on and I cannot share any information at this time, but we have charged under Section 103 (murder) of the Indian Code.”

On the ongoing investigation on the death of her husband, Zubeen Garg’s wife Garima said that she had full faith in law and order. Everyone wants to know who is the guilty. He said- “The investigation of the husband’s death case is going on and the police are handling it in their own way. So we should not comment on it right now. I do not know much about it but it is confident that we will get justice and the investigation will be done correctly. Soon it will be known what happened that day and we want to know who is guilty in which crime. If someone is responsible, he will be punished.”
