Actor Govinda’s children Yashvardhan Ahuja and Tina Ahuja visited the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja on Thursday to seek blessings from Lord Ganpati during Ganeshotsav.
The siblings were seen in traditional ethnic attire. Tina wore a pastel purple outfit, while Yashvardhan opted for a white kurta-pyjama with minimal brass-coloured embellishments.
Speaking briefly to the media, Yashvardhan said he felt extremely blessed to visit Lord Ganpati during the festival.
Their visit came after their father Govinda visited Lalbaugcha Raja with his co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar. Govinda, who is set to make a comeback with his upcoming film ‘Roopa’, offered prayers and performed the final aarti during the visit. A video of the actor from the pandal subsequently went viral on social media.
Govinda had introduced Komal Rani to the media in July as his co-star in ‘Roopa’. The association later drew attention amid allegations by Govinda’s wife Ssunita Ahuja, who alleged that the actor was romantically involved with Rani.
Ssunita had criticised Govinda for being seen with a woman she described as being his daughter’s age and had also commented on Rani’s attire. Govinda subsequently reacted strongly to the allegations made by his wife.
The actor had earlier supported Ssunita during her stint on the reality streaming show ‘Lock Upp’ and had also gone to receive her after her elimination.
On Thursday, actress and social media personality Rakhi Sawant also criticised Govinda over his recent visit to Lalbaugcha Raja with Rani.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Rakhi shared a video addressing the actor and said, “Govinda ji, kya ho gaya aapko? Haan, itne bade Lalbaug Ganpati mein aap wo Roopa, Komal kaun hai, usko lekar gaye. Ye ek bahut galat baat hai, Govinda ji. I’m very upset.”
