If you are a member of the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) and want to get information like your PF balance, last deposit, then this work has become very easy. EPFO has started a missed call service, so that you can just get all these information on your mobile by giving a missed call. This facility is not only free, but there is no need for internet or smartphone for this.
What information will be provided by missed call?
When you make a missed call from your registered mobile number on number 9966044425 issued by EPFO, you get some important information through SMS, like, the last amount deposited in your PF account, your total PF balance and necessary information related to UAN. This service is completely free and available to all EPFO members, provided they fulfill certain conditions.
Necessary things to use missed call service
Before taking advantage of this service, there are some important conditions which are mandatory to fulfill. For example, the mobile number should be linked to the UAN, that is, the number from which you are giving a missed call, should be already registered and active on the EPFO portal with your UAN (Universal Account Number). Also, KYC documents should be confirmed. At least one document should be associated with your UAN with bank account number, Aadhaar card (UID) and PAN card (PAN). If there is no one of these three documents links, then information will not be available from the missed call service.
How to give missed calls? Step-by-step method
- Give a missed call to 99660444425 from your registered mobile number.
- Call 2 will automatically cut inside the ring.
- In a short time, an SMS will come from EPFO in which your PF will be given information.
- You do not have to pay any charge for this service.
Uan needs to be active
Keep in mind, if your UAN is not active, then this service will not work. So first make sure that your UAN is activated. If you have not yet activated your UAN, it can be activated with the help of EPFO’s website or Umang app.
