Air India may start flights to China by the end of 2025. IndiGo has also announced to start flying for China. India’s relations with China have improved. Due to this, airline services are going to start.
China flights: Air India can resume its flights to China by the end of 2025. Sources told ANI on Thursday that flights would be resumed for China, especially from Delhi to Shanghai route.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation said in a post on X, “India and China will resume direct air services with winter schedule, by the end of October 2025. It will be a constant technical level conversation between civil aviation officials as part of the comprehensive effort to normalize bilateral relations. This will improve a lot of improvement between people and strengthen the financial support between the two countries.
IndiGo will resume flights to China
IndiGo has also announced to resume flights from India to Mainland China. Indigo said, “Following recent diplomatic initiatives, IndiGo has announced to resume its services for Mainland China today, which will connect Kolkata to Guangzhu (Can) daily, non-stop flights from 26 October 2025.”
Indigo said, “Under regulator approvals, IndiGo will soon start direct flights between Delhi and Guangzhu. IndiGo will use its Airbus A320NEO aircraft to operate these flights, which will reopen the border trade and strategic trading partnership between the two countries and promote tourism.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed the need to strengthen the relationship between people through direct flights and visa facilities at their bilateral meeting on the occasion of the summit of the leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on 31 August.
